This project began to address issues faced by the elderly care givers of orphans. Their limited resources in caring for the OVCs (Orphaned and Vulnerable children) have strained them, making them among the poorest of the poor. Currently they are involved in a basket  weaving project  and other assorted products.

This has encouraged them as a group and as members.They have continued to get care and support from Beacon. The group  now  serves  as a support group to these elderly caregivers as they are able to  share  their experiences as elderly care givers. They have found friendship, companionship and growth in the group. They are such serious business women and have  managed to purchase stocks  with a large telecommunications company. They have good focus on what they want their group to achieve.
